Continuing education in additive manufacturing

Education and training in additive manufacturing is our contribution to increase the efficiency in the use of this constantly growing manufacturing technology. Sustainability, acceleration and cost reduction are possible, if the training matches.

Additive manufacturing is continuously being developed. Hardly a month goes by without new production technology or improved materials becoming commercially available. Keeping track and being able to evaluate when, which technology or when which material improves my product is easy if you are fundamentally trained in this field.

The Zurich University of Applied Sciences with its School of Engineering division offers continuing education on this topic at the Institute of Product Development and Production Technologies (IPP). The 360-hour CAS Additive Manufacturing course imparts knowledge, trains analytical skills in this subject area, and encourages creativity in developing one's own products. Lecturers from research and development convey the current state of the art and provide an outlook on the next development steps. Lecturers from industry provide an outlook on what can be achieved when working together with good partners.

Training in the field of additive manufacturing is available. CAS stands for Certificate of Advanced Studies. Participants therefore receive a certificate for the skills they have acquired and can even develop these further to a master's degree in the field of Industry 4.0. But the CAS Additive Manufacturing alone already ensures their production and further development in this technology.
