During the construction, attention is paid to the high stability and durability of the tool in order to achieve the lowest possible cycle times for injection molding. This means that, depending on the original material, far more than 100,000 components can be manufactured.
In the prototype industry, only small numbers are initially required. By dispensing with automation and using manual inserts, tools can be manufactured quickly and inexpensively. The demouldability and undercuts are replaced by simple inserts. Different sprue positions are possible with little effort in order to achieve optimal filling situations. This results in a simplified procedure, more efficiency and significant time and cost savings.
