AM – Supporting Structures for Drug Delivery
Type of event: Offline event
In the medical field, additive manufacturing (AM) is used in many areas. Within this workshop the focus is on AM supporting structures for drug delivery. This could be tablets, implants or prostheses.
The additive manufacturing processes enable new applications in many areas. In medical technology, prostheses, implants, surgical models and artificial tissues are already produced with this technology.
In the field of drug delivery, there is a need to ensure that the right dose is administered at the right place for the desired duration of treatment as gently as possible. Here generatively manufactured carrier structures can make new treatment methods possible.
Participants of these workshops:
- know the topic either from a medical or a technical point of view
- have a need to apply solutions in practice
- are willing to work with experts from various fields to develop solutions
- are interested in working with partners on feasibility tests
