Infiltration with foundry wax
Directly produce complex investment casting patterns without tooling, rather than through indirect methods, for titanium, aluminium, magnesium, zinc, ferrous and non ferrous metals. Functions like foundry wax and is "foundry friendly". Good plastic powder recycle characteristics. Process description: Build material (polystyrene-based) into foundry pattern; infiltrate the pattern with foundry wax, which increases part strength and surface quality; polish to the desired surface finish; process the infiltrated pattern using standard foundry practices.
