Hybrid Additive Manufacturing

With the Hybrid Additive Manufacturing process, we produce additive metal parts with high surface quality and accuracy. It combines the SLM process with direct machining in the same system.


Pi2 Process AG is the first provider in Switzerland to use Pi2-HAM (Hybrid Additive Manufacturing). It combines the SLM process (Selective Laser Melting) with a direct machining in the same machine. Thanks to the integrated milling spindle, we can finish surfaces and complete components in the same process step with high surface quality and precision.

Maximum component dimensions: 250x250x185 mm

Accuracy of machined surfaces: +/- 0.025 mm (+/- 0.01 mm for parts smaller than 100x100x100 mm)

Surface quality: Ra 0.8 - 1.6 (N5 - N6)
