Why AM Corrax?

Our many years of experience in additive manufacturing have shown that AM Corrax has significant advantages over common tool steels such as 1.2709. Due to its rust resistance, AM Corrax opens up new possibilities not only in tool manufacturing, but also in many other application areas. The advantages of AM Corrax

Rely on the quality and performance of AM Corrax, as do many of our satisfied customers:

• Stable manufacturing process: the manufacturing process with AM Corrax is significantly more stable compared to 1.2709, resulting in higher density and fewer micro-cracking problems.
• Rust resistance: Since AM Corrax is rust resistant, there are fewer problems with sludging of the cooling media.
• Excellent strength: The strength values of AM Corrax are higher than those of 1.2709, and the hardness achieved is only minimally lower.
• Maximum density: This is particularly crucial for expensive injection molds to ensure that no small pores occur during mechanical finishing.
• Simplified and cost-efficient heat treatment: We carry out the thermal ageing to a hardness of approx. HRC52 internally. Since we only machine the parts after this treatment, the ageing process can be performed under atmosphere, making the process cheaper and easier.
